Why a Safe Bed Changes Everything
For someone experiencing homelessness, a single night of safe shelter is more than a place to rest. It is a hot shower, clean linens, a warm meal, and the first calm moment in which to think about what comes next. The Salvation Army Louisville Area Command provides that first step every night of the year. But keeping a bed ready is a daily commitment: linens, utilities, meals, and the caring staff who greet every guest by name.
